What is Bourbon
Bourbon is a type of American Whiskey that is predominantly made in the southern United States. It is made of a blend of different grains, with the bulk of the grain alcohol coming from corn, and grains such as malted barley, rye, or wheat making up the rest. Once distilled, the high-proof alcohol is aged in white oak barrels for at least two years.
The name bourbon comes from the original territory name of a large swath of the old south, named after the French royal family of the time. The whiskey coming out of this region was predominantly corn whiskey, which was a novelty to many people, and so they started referring to it as bourbon in reference to its place of origin.

Rod & Rifle Bourbon
Rod & Rifle Bourbon is produced in Lawrenceburg Indiana, long known as "Whiskey City" USA. Lawrenceburg is called Whiskey City due to the many distilleries that once operated in town. Today, Lawrenceburg is currently a small but thriving community of over 4,000 Hoosiers located on the banks of the Ohio river across from the Great State of Kentucky.
Rod & Rifle Bourbon is hand crafted today, much like they originally made whiskey over 160 years ago. Our bourbon whiskey is copper distilled, chilled filtered and aged in new charred white oak barrels for a minimum of two years. The bourbon is produced using the finest ingredients within the heart of the Midwest corn belt and uses cold, pure and is made with naturally filtered water that is sourced from ancient aquifers
